We returned to the mysterious cavern to plumb its depths. First order of business: prove that monsters made of dust are weaklings! We explored some bathrooms on the west end of the first level, in which Mauler felt compelled to lick the toilet water. Outside the door, we heard monsters roaming. My hot blood craved a good fight, but my companions held me back. Once they left, we found a locked box in another room. Inside was fascistic looking eagle pins. We took them.

We then went to the home of the Dust monsters. A thick layer of dust lay inert on the ground. Yet my wild instinct knew these dusty duds would arise to ambush us. So I hunted the hunter and swung my weapon around wildly, knowing they would emerge! And so they did, and it was promptly struck down. I retreated to a choke point and while the dredge failed to land a single blow my companions blew them away with polearms.

Even dust can feel fear; our foes retreated to the east.

Behind the dust room was the heads of various robots. Who left these heads here? Why are they beside these ghost dusts? Some mysteries shall never be understood. It is best to forget existential questions in drink or battle.

We descended to the next level and returned to the junction where we fought the mad robot in our previous delve. North from there, we a room with a large treasure chest. Ser Wit'tully cleverly used a piece of glass to look around the corners, and saw two statues of warriors in mail around the corner. These would, obviously, come to life. I tried to convince Wit'tully and the others to fight: slay one statue while it is inert, and fight the other individually. Yet my companions would not budge...

Then! All of a sudden we heard a familiar voice. Kirko, a steadfast companion, appeared from the bear shit smeared hallway. With another fighting man on our side we divided and conquered. I chopped the arm off the first statue and then, while helpless, my companions drove it away. We then slew the other in a vicious melee. Kirko took two blows but stayed standing; the ancient statue's weapons had long since dulled. Alon used sorcery to cause the monster to slip as if on a banana peel. We finished it while it was on the ground. Inside the chest was a large ingot.

We then travelled south and found a room with three large robots of about 4 Hit Die. I, for the first time in my life, was quite nervous. As I spoke to them, it seemed they adhered to a strict hierarchy. Then, Alon, despite his drunkenness came up with a genius idea! He put the fascistic pin on his chest and proclaimed himself general! The robots prostrated themselves before him. I snatched the other pin before my anyone else, and also became general. There is much treasure in this room: my companions and I must scheme to procure this money so I may purchase a shotgun.

South of this we found a room with a gate. This gate led to something called the "Anomalous Subsurface Environment." It seems the true adventure begins here. How deep does this hollow go? What untold secrets await in the heart of these depths?

As we were leaving, I realized my companion Wit'tully had brought his donkey into the dungeon. Crazy, crazy man.

This session was a big success in terms of treasure. We've settled into our roles. I tend to be caller and focus mostly on dealing with monsters, zygocact does the mapping and makes drunken quips, Jesus Milk comes with clever schemes and interrogates the environment. Ags is new and will settle in soon!

I got a little bit impatient with Jesus at one point this session, but we talked it out after. It's definitely valuable to have someone concerned with the details and thinking more about the long game. He's having Wit'tully engage in more longterm investigations of the dungeon and is hoping to engage in scientific experiments. Diversity in a party is strength, and his prescient gathering of bear poop last session and use of a mirror to look around the corner this session were both clutch.

Big shout out to Kirko for joining the session on short notice. I wanted to ameliorate the anxiety of my party before fighting the statues by adding another team member.

Thanks to Mr.Mann for running a great game.
