Doll Making
A talented student may learn the Doll Making arts with 1d6 months spent immersed in the love of form, otherwise this process takes 1d6 years. Another period of study in the same art allows the Doll Maker to see man inside other objects and love them to life—a sword, a vase, etc, could be made to live.
Each HD worth of Doll takes 1d6 weeks per HD animated; a creature of multiple HD adds 1 week per HD after the first. Material costs are multiplied by the number of weeks spent labouring.
Instead of a man-sized figure, 1d6 tiny figures with 1HP each may be made per HD, if desired.
Their personalities and basic armour class are determined by the material used in their construction:
- Wood (25c): AC as Leather. It is awed by the sound of music and the laughter of children
- Stone (50c): AC as Chain. d6+1 Damage. Patient, inclined toward mathematics.
- Iron (100c): AC as Plate. d6+2 Damage, weapons break against it on a 2-in-6. A Don Quixote.
- Corpse or Bone (5c): AC as Unarmored. Taciturn, moody.
Corpse Dolls are feared and abhorred by most peoples. Because no trace of the soul remains in a Corpse Doll it is not undead.
