An Example Demon—Lilith
Lilith
She is pale and wonderful, with lips painted a striking violet. Her black hair falls in a torrent round her body, then trails behind her like a dress; it conceals 8 pairs of round arms and 8 pairs of supple breasts. Between her smooth legs a serpent fanged mouth gapes with burning spittle. Though she can move twice as fast by running on her many arms like a spider, she avoids it because she thinks it looks disgusting. Her horns are coquettish and curly.
Lilith comforts and feeds her lovers, but wants those she cannot have: the great men of the past, men like Achilles and Hector who stand above others in virtue and valour for so short a time. Eternal gods or sycophants are of no interest to her.
HD - 7†
AC - 7
Attacks - 1d6 Hair or Serpent Fangs
Special -
- When a lover of women meets Lilith they must make a Spell Save or desire her like a fish pulled from the sea desires water. Just so, those who need her would surely die without her embrace; they wouldn’t even care if they cracked the skull of their own newborn under their feet in a mad rush to suckle on Lilith’s round breasts. Married folk subtract 4 from their Save because of their Madonna-whore complex; virgins add 4 to their save because they don’t know what they’re looking at. Each time a creature affected by her charms tries to attack her they must repeat this Save.
- Her mouth’s spit calls for a Death Save. On a failure, the victim is agonized to death by pleasure. If her spit falls in their mouth they grow pregnant with Lilm’s (HD1†/AC7/1d6 Bite) which pop out in 1d2 rounds. Those in love with her will willinging drink up her ambrosial poison if that's what she wishes.
- She can use her hair to become nearly invisible in darkness and move freely between shadows.
- The sun hates her because she said he wasn’t “hot enough”; direct sunlight deals 1HD of damage per round. She cannot willingly move toward sunlight.
- Shears made of silver can cut her hair. Silver scissor-swords deal 2d6 damage to her and incite panic. If a Bard declaims Pope’s Rape of the Lock she will retreat in irritation; those subject to her charms may make an additional Save to break free.

Magic Items -
Shadow Cloak: Her hair may be woven into a cloak that pours through the fingers as silken night. The wearer is near invisible in shadows and is only spotted on a 1-in-6 when performing an ambush from darkness. Once per day, hop from one shadow to another up to 120’ away.
I've got some demons I'm working on. Lots of D&Ds have spells like "summon demon" and then no actual working examples of those demons. What a pain! Some that do have demons are very boring; the demons within don't have much personality; the standard D&D demons SUCK. A few of mine are finished, but this one is my favourite thus far.
Note that the "†" symbol means Supernatural HD. Only attacks that deal 6+ damage cause harm. Also note that I usually run high level monsters as getting multiple attacks per round (1-3HD—1 attack, 4-6HD—2 attacks, 7-9HD—3 attacks, 10+—4 attacks).
