Wolves Are Still Scary

Here are some of the things Wolves do.

Their howls echo down through vales, ring around trees, and fill the sky; a single Wolf sounds like 1d6 Wolves. In this way packs instil terror in their quarry.

They know the shadows better than you do. For them sight is a matter of blood. It doesn't matter how dark it is. Shadows swirl around them, ebb and flow, and swallow up humans away from the safety of campfire or torchlight. In moonlight a Wolf's shadow stretches far, and moves on its own. A man stops and whirls around when faced with the silhouette of a looming Wolf only to find its fangs bared behind him, then latched onto his thigh.

Scores of Wolves will leap overtop and between each other to drag a single man to the ground. They race to tear him limb from limb in joyful remembrance of a youth spent fighting for milk.
